Had an incredible time chatting with Dave Sewelson at his apartment in Brooklyn Heights for his podcast! We talked about my life, music, and of course, geeked out over reeds and all the saxophone essentials. I first met Dave a few years ago playing with the Shrine Big Band, and it was great to reconnect and share some of my music with him. I had the honor of performing with Gabriel Aldort at the 81st St Music Booth as part of a CBS NY segment. I am deeply grateful to Barbara Anderson for extending the invitation, Bradley Blackburn for conducting a thoughtful and engaging interview, and Pietro for skillfully capturing the performance on camera. This opportunity allowed me to share my journey as a musician in New York City and highlight the vibrant culture that Art on the Ave NYC celebrates by showcasing local artists and musicians. Performing at the Music Booth was a rewarding experience, connecting with New Yorkers in an iconic setting.
